Pleasant View School students attended the annual Language Fair competition on Mar. 30 at the University of
Memphis. Every year about 1,000 students from Memphis area schools participate in competitions and language and cultural events. This is the first year PVS participates, and they had a good showing. Students won eight medals in the following categories: Arts, Arabic poetry (intermediate and advanced) levels, and Vocabulary. Arabic teachers Issa Bldiar and Abdullah Ayyash helped students prepare for the competitions.
