PVS was founded with a clear purpose that is encapsulated in a simple statement “Excellence in Education with Islam.” The school was founded to provide Muslim students in Memphis with the best possible academic opportunities, preparing them for academic success at the University level and beyond, in an environment in which their religious values and principles are respected, they can maintain a strong Islamic identity, and they develop the tools, knowledge, and motivation to lead lives guided by the principles of Islam. The school has adopted different mission statements over the years outlining the specific way that the school aims to achieve this objective with the latest mission statement having been adopted in 2010.
The mission of Pleasant View School is to:
